"How good are these Pinot Noirs? Damm good... Compelling Pinot Noir is a matter of layered dimensionality, where you don’t discover everything about a wine in one sip. Happily wineries such as Mount Edward... deliver such multidimensional goods" - Matt Kramer Wine Spectator April 2005

Mount Edward 2004 Pinot Noir

Mount Edward 2004 Pinot Noir

A cooler vintage in 2004 has given us a wine that is very primary in its immediate appeal. Lots of Central Otago fruit to the fore, with perhaps less herb and savoury influence than the 2003 Mount Edward. This is a very fruit focused wine, full of personality with all the structure, elegance and wonderful berryfruit characters that only true Central Otago Pinot Noir can offer.

Enjoy.

"The 2004 Mount Edward Pinot Noir, Central Otago is surely as close as New Zealand gets to Pinot Noir Nirvana. If they haven't done so already, such wines ought to give the Burgundians bad dreams."

Tim Atkin The Observer Magazine Sept 2005

Dense and spicy Pinot Noir with red and black cherry flavours. A firmly structured wine that dries on the finish, nice weight. Classy wine .
