"How good are these Pinot Noirs? Damm good... Compelling Pinot Noir is a matter of layered dimensionality, where you don’t discover everything about a wine in one sip. Happily wineries such as Mount Edward... deliver such multidimensional goods" - Matt Kramer Wine Spectator April 2005

Mount Edward Morrison Vineyard Pinot Noir 2008

Mount Edward Morrison Vineyard Pinot Noir 2008

Our second vintage from the Morrison vineyard in Lowburn continues hot on the heels of the 2007 Pinot Noir. Exhibiting typical Mount Edward style our 2008 is once again set apart by its aromatics and pure fruit. It is a focused wine that delivers a seamless and balanced array of pure fruit flavours, very fine tannin structure and high tone aromatics. Our single vineyard wines are keep back to age further in barrel before bottling in June and then given more time in bottle prior to release. This programme allows the wine to gain some added complexity in barrel whilst allowing the wine to achieve harmony and balance.

Only 80 cases of this wine were made .

Released Dec 2009
